Christopher A. Hazelrigg

Christopher Hazelrigg was my husband's attorney for a child support modification hearing. We ended up paying thousands to him as well as my husband's ex-wife before the state of Missouri jumped in to help us. By the way, it was the child support division who caught Hazelrigg's error and stopped the s...upport. In the hearing we did not contest the modified support. What we contested was the change of duration since the original order was filed in Oklahoma and set to expire when the children turned 18. There were also a few other items we contested (generic receipts made out to grandparents for childcare) but Hazelrigg was completely worthless and did not know the laws at the time. After we discovered Mr. Hazelrigg's errors, we contacted other attorneys in the area as we hope to file suit against the man; however our loss (approximately 30000) was not enough to really mess with. Ultimately, we stood to lose more. Had we known better at the time, we would never have hired Christopher Hazelrigg. My husband would have been better off representing himself.

I had Chris retained for over a year. The only thing he is good at is billing. He preped and prepared but did nothing. Time to go to court he did it from his phone while others showed up and needless to say outcome was not good for my child custody case. After getting him dismissed the new attorney... made it a case the no brainer one that it was but it whooped him good. But he don't care he got paid and didn't affect his golf game. If you want someone sticking up for you in a scary time involving children THEN DO NOT HIRE THIS WORTHLESS WASTE OF SKIN. He shouldn't be barred due to his unethical behavior. Moral if the story save your money and your case and hope your opponents have retained him because your going to win!!!

I hired Chris for a custody/paternity case and to put it nicely I'll call it a "BAD INVESTMENT". He never actually gave me any legal advice and both he and his staff were terrible at getting things done in a timely manner. Lawyers charge you for every phone call, email and minute they spend prepping ...things, which is fine if they're actually doing those things. However, with this office you're forced to make call after call and send email after email to get them to do anything in the first place and then make more attempts to get ahold of them to do it all over again since it was done incorrectly to begin with. I eventually hired another lawyer, but not soon enough. I spent thousands of dollars on Chris's services and he in fact just made more of a mess of my case then it ever was to begin with. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HIRE CHRIS. You'll quickly realize why his fees are lower than others in town-his lack of knowledge, dedication, and determination to make sure your case is taken care of.
