Mike Stanfield brings over 17 years of courtroom experience to his practice, having advocated tirelessly for clients across Missouri. Mike's educational journey set a strong foundation for his legal career, earning both a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Central Missouri. Recognized with the Latshaw Award for excellence in Criminal Law at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law, Mike sought practical experience through meaningful internships and clerkships, including time spent with the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office. These experiences built his knowledge and honed his skills as he spent over 16 years as a public defender before founding his own firm. Notably, he is one of the few in southwest Missouri to graduate from the National Criminal Defense College’s Trial Practice Institute.
