Patricia Jane Shilling

My experience includes representing litigants in numerous probate cases, including those with complex property and business issues.  I have also handled difficult family law cases involving issues of maintenance, child custody, visitation and support.  I have extensive experience in a variety of areas of civil law.  I have represented numerous business owners and real estate owners in a variety of cases, including landlord tenant, partition and quiet title.  I have been the city attorney and prosecuting attorney for the city of Clever since 1992 and was a Christian County assistant prosecuting attorney from 1994 to 1998.  As city attorney I have handled a variety of municipal matters including prosecuting violations of the municipal ordinances.  While an assistant prosecuting Attorney I prosecuted failure to pay child support and misdemeanor traffic cases, as well as felony property and personal crimes. I taught constitutional law and criminal law at the Clever Police Academy.  I also have extensive experience in the areas of estate planning and probate, having been involved in the planning and administration of numerous simple and sophisticated estates.  I have been an adjunct faculty member with Drury University since 2002 teaching classes in Interviewing & Investigation, Crime and Punishment, Family Law, Real Estate Law and Wills, Estates and Trusts.
