This was a police brutality case against an Austin police officer. The officer assaulted my client by tackling him and severely injuring the citizen, despite the fact that my client was completely inno ... cent and was complying with the officer's commands. The unanimous federal jury awarded my client nearly a million dollars for the injuries associated with the excessive force. This was the largest Civil Rights verdict in Texas for 2016.
