Horrible attorney

I hired Mr. Oxenhandler to handle my divorce in the beginning. He seemed very knowledgeable knowledgeable, and came from great references. During the divorce, though he allowed my name and finances to be completely destroyed. Still paying for this. Do Not Hire Him!!!!

Dont waste your money!

I hired Josh to handle a seemingly straight forward case involving several boys that were badly treated by a Mizzou fraternity. He was fair enough on the what he charged us for "services", but seemed to put us on the back burner. There was little to no communication with us about what was happening... with the case. We ended up settling for an outrageous amount just to get it off our back (which was ridiculous!) It was like he just didn't give a crap. He has an arrogant demeanor and did not serve our best interest. Would NEVER hire him again.

Not for you...

I spent my hard earned money on Josh, and he treated me like the last thing on his mind. I did a lot of the work myself that he should have done for me. Every time we communicated, he seem rushed and not genuinely interested in my case. It was clear I was his least important client (maybe I wasn't pa...ying enough money in his mind?) and he treated me like that. I would not recommend him. I even used my ex husbands lawyer, who my ex was working with, instead of josh. That's saying a lot! At the end of my time with him, it was hard to get what was remaining of my deposit back, and his assistant questioned me about wanting to see specifics about what I was getting charged for. Very unsatisfied customer. Josh should treat everyone equal and like they are important. However, it is clear he cares only about his higher paying customers.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
