Jennifer Koboldt Bukowsky

Jennifer took my case after it had been pending for over two years and absolutely exceeded any expectations I had. Her work-ethic is truly unlike anything I have ever witnessed. My initial conviction was reversed by the Eastern District Appellate Court, thanks to Jennifer's hard work and knowledge of... the law. This was hands-down the worst experience I've ever had in hiring someone. She was completely unprepared for my case, literally did not know (or remember) how to submit evidence to the court and visibly annoyed the judge. It was embarrassing. I first met Jennifer Bukowsky as an inmate at the Boone County Jail. She was working as a public defender and could have easily treated me as just another case, but she didn't. Bukowsky's research into the circumstances and constitutionality of my arrest resulted in an incredible offer from the prose...cution not to take the case to trial. I went against her advice and plead out to a minimal charge and in hindsight, could have had the entire thing thrown out. I have since retained Bukowsky in private practice on another matter in which her thorough research into the case uncovered exculpatory evidence that I believe will result in a dismissal. Her knack for meticulously pouring through statutes, case law, evidence, and reports is what makes her a great attorney, but her willingness and ability to take on a jury trial is what sets her apart from the crowd. I witnessed Bukowsky secure a not guilty verdict by a jury on a murder charge, which is something that just doesn't happen in Boone County. She did this over the course of an intense 6-day murder trial in which she went toe-to-toe with police officers on the witness stand who were intent on securing a guilty verdict for their department at any cost. Although her never-back-down attitude doesn't make her many friends in the prosecutor's office, she's not in it to be their friend; she's in it to fight for her clients and that's exactly what she does. I can't recommend Jennifer Bukowsky highly enough as a criminal defense attorney.
