I was arrested with more than an ounce of Cannabis, which is a felony in Missouri. I've had several doctors advise me to use cannabis as an alternative to prescription medications since I suffered a serious back injury several years back. Essentially, I was hit by a car riding my bike, broke several ...bones, had a collapsed lung, a major concussion, and spent a week in the hospital. After several months, Dan and the prosecutor negotiated a deal that would reduce the charge to a traffic violation and a $1200 fine. I was beyond thrilled to hear that. It was a huge weight off my shoulders knowing that my life would not be ruined over using a plant. Dan is an amazing lawyer but also an incredible person. I'm so truly grateful for everything he did. I felt like my life was over, but Dan helped me get a second chance. I can't stress enough how much I would recommend him as your lawyer. He's simply one of the best, if not the best.

During my freshman year of college, myself and a few friends were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. November 2017, I met with Columbia Attorney, Dan Viets regarding a case against me by Columbia Public Schools. This case was a result of a school bus crash where I was riding and received moderate injuries.
