Do Not Use

This was, without question, the worst attorney consultation our family has ever experienced. We came in seeking guidance on a complicated trust matter. We understood that the attorney might ultimately decide there was nothing he could do. That wasn't the issue. The issue was how we were treated.... Throughout the consultation, the attorney was dismissive, interrupted us repeatedly, and acted as though listening to our explanation was an absolute inconvenience. When we attempted to explain evidence related to the situation, he raised his voice and told us, "I don't need to know that." Near the end of the consultation, despite time remaining, he curtly asked if we had "anything else," making it clear he wanted the meeting over. This was an emotional family matter and we expected professionalism and maybe at least some empathy—even if the answer ultimately was "I can't help." Instead, we felt judged, talked down to, and rushed out the door. It was bad enough it left the family embarrassed they had even called this firm. We sought guidance during a difficult time. Instead, we left feeling worse than when we arrived.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
