David M. Mayer is the managing shareholder of Monsees & Mayer, P.C., a nationally recognized plaintiff litigation firm representing survivors of sexual abuse and victims of catastrophic injury throughout Missouri and Kansas. Through offices in Kansas City, Springfield, Branson, and St. Joseph, David has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families pursue justice after devastating injuries, abuse, and wrongful death tragedies.
David has extensive experience handling high-profile litigation involving child sexual abuse, boarding school abuse, clergy abuse, institutional negligence, and cases involving organizations that failed to protect vulnerable children and adults. He is widely recognized for advocating on behalf of survivors and pursuing accountability against schools, churches, corporations, and institutions responsible for abuse and misconduct.
In addition to sexual abuse litigation, David represents victims in catastrophic car accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death claims, and other serious personal injury matters involving life-changing injuries and substantial financial losses. His work has resulted in numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for injury victims and abuse survivors across the Midwest.
A graduate of Boston College and the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, David is licensed in Missouri and Kansas and has earned numerous honors throughout his career, including the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and recognition among leading trial attorneys nationwide. He was recently awarded the ICON Award, which honors distinguished attorneys who have demonstrated sustained success and leadership within and outside the legal profession. Known for his compassionate advocacy and aggressive litigation style, David remains committed to helping clients rebuild their lives after traumatic events.7
