Class Action against hospital for refusing to submit a patient’s medical bills to a health insurance provider and instead asserting liens on third party tort recoveries and/or medical payments coverage ... . I successfully argued this case of first impression in the Court of Appeals of the Western District of Missouri. The case ultimately settled with a settlement valued at over $4,100,000.00 and provided cash payments to class members as well as future injunctive relief.

I was appointed co-lead class counsel in a case against an automobile dealership for the unauthorized practice of law and for alleged violations of the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act. Defendant ... sought to enforce a class action ban contained in an arbitration clause. I successfully argued the case at the Missouri Supreme Court which helped create law in Missouri regarding the unconscionability of class bans contained in consumer arbitration agreements. The case ultimately settled.
