Agreed Poor Litigator

Since the beginning of my case it's been all about money. I paid my retainer off before the time frame in which I said I would and received a phone call stating I had not paid the retainer. That was the first and last phone call I received from the office during the entire case. After having proof... that I paid the retainer for my divorce, I was then given additional fees to pay that were not disclosed and had asked how many and how much more in fees I would have to pay for my divorce. After reaching over 1200.00 in fees for an uncontested divorce, I've just about had it with this law firm. About 5 months into the case I was told I was only awaiting a court date. Then after calling in and completing the initial paper work twice, find out that more money would be involved for a mediation that they pretended they knew nothing about. 10 months into the case I finally get a court date to only find out within a week of the actual date (never received anything in writing) that they had double booked the attorney for that day and my divorce case would be rescheduled. I called into the office on the day of the initially scheduled court date and could not talk to Janet the "paralegal" who stated that 1. She would fax me a notice when to appear in court (she did not), 2. Would give me the new court date if I was to attend court on a different day (she did not). Here it is approaching a year and I am no closer to getting my divorce than before. I have a child in the case and have not been receiving any type of support as well. When asking the office what to expect in court, what are we asking for, and so forth about the case I am told I will receive a call to go over all these points (I have not). I have lost over 1200.00 in this case which was not easy to come by and do not wish to continue to lose more. I was told that if the divorce is uncontested that it would be an open and shut case. March 2016 will be a year. If there was/is an opportunity of receiving my money back I would love to have it due to the lack of being represented.

ZERO STARS, if i could!

I would not recommend using Kenny Hensley as a divorce attorney. During the divorce he did not attend hearings and sent in Jr. Lawyers who were in no shape for form prepared to go up against my ex husbands money. He did not protect myself or my daughter during the proceedings and gave bad advice on m...ore than one occasion. In the end he did not bring the parenting plan we wrote to the final hearing and to my knowledge there is still not one entered in the courts. The worst part is he never set up the child support through the courts and my ex is not able to be found by the state. I have raised my child as a single mother and my ex has never made one single payment through the courts since 2004, when the divorce was finalized. I liked him in the initial interview but once I realized the mistake I had made I did not have the funds to hire another attorney. He shows knowledge of knowing the law but his disorganization and lack of empathy do not make him a hirable attorney for a person in a divorce when their partner is able to hire a slick lawyer. I do not even possess a signed copy of the agreement!

Poor Litigator

This Attorney does not deliver promised result. Phone calls are not returned in a timely manner, or not at all. This attorney is poorly prepared for court and does not have exhibits to present. This attorney does not educate the client in courtroom etiquette. This attorney does not continue to wo...rk after the retainer is paid. This attorney should not be retained for a divorce unless the client wishes to lose everything.
