You committed a felony. What happens depends on a lot of factors. Get a lawyer, let them handle it.

He's still in custody because the state believes he did the crime.

So with 3 DUI convictions on your record, I wouldn't worry about work release showing up.

File a motion for disposition of detainers. Or, hire a lawyer to do that. Or apply for the public defender to do that.

You can, but the right question is when? Call the DOR or go into an office and see what they tell you. They're pretty helpful usually.
