I have represented a serial killer - People v. Stephen Sakai. Mr. Sakai was a bouncer in a nightclub in the borough of Manhattan, New York. At the venue, he had an altercation which resulted in his f ... atally shooting one victim and seriously wounding two others. Additionally he was a person of interest in three other murders in Brooklyn, New York. I was asked by the judges where both cases were pending to represent him. The three murders in Brooklyn went to trial and Mr. Sakai was convicted of two of them and acquitted of one. This case was also one of high publicity and found its way to the front pages of some of the New York tabloids.
