Approval with Grundy Law Firm

I have been denied more than once and with other attorneys who did not help my case at all. I had doubts choosing any attorneys at first because of the bad luck I've had with disability attorneys in the past but I have changed my mind completely about Grundy Law Firm. I am thankful I decided to go wi...th Mr Grundy because I was recently received an approval from the appeals judge. His firm is very professional, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I will definitely contact them when it's time for my re-evaluations.

SO Worth the Stress Relief to Have a Good Attorney Assist You the First Time

GDG was recommended by my LTD attorney who is based out of Florida, which already told me he has a strong reputation even outside MO/KS. During the initial consult he told me to delay engaging him until the appropriate time, which lowered my costs. His firm was responsive, guided me through step-by...-step what they needed and when, was compassionate when I was stressed and understanding when I needed additional guidance. Occasionally there were delays in response, but never by more than a few hours to a day - understandable given I was just one of many clients they worked with and this all during 2020 when everyone was working remotely! To be clear, as I normally would, I followed their instructions to continue to gather my records and communicate with and see my doctors regularly. With their guidance and by doing my due diligence, my case was won on the first application. It is SO worth the backpay fee and stress relief to have an attorney assist you.

Excellant service

Matthew represented my family member and was successful getting her cleared to start receiving SS Disability Benefits. She had been turned down before he stepped in to assist. Much Thanks to him personally and professionally.

Matt Grundy and GDG Law: Experts in disability law.

I can no longer work as a teacher or microbiologist. Several years ago, I began having sleep problems, and then those problems got much worse. Eventually, I couldn’t stay awake during the day, and I lost my job. I have a lot of physical problems and PTSD. I went to see a counselor. My counselor sugge...sted that I speak with a case manager. I told my case manager that I wanted to apply for Social Security (SocSec) disability, so she helped me get everything together. I put together all of my medical records, wrote detailed answers to all of SocSec's tough questions, got all the dozens of documents ready, and finally had a phone interview, 10 weeks after we first called SocSec. SSDI was denied, Immediately. There is a time deadline from when you last worked in order to be eligible for SSDI. I missed it. We asked about Supplemental Security Income. I was told that my case would have to be reviewed for SSI. Three months later; Denied. I needed to file an appeal. My case manager had a long list of attorneys that their organization had worked with. I took it with me and checked on all of the attorneys on-line. Good attorneys get talked about by people who needed them. Matt Grundy and Grundy Disability Group were talked about, and all positive. I called Matt’s office, and scheduled a meeting with him. I answered his questions, and Matt said to send him copies of everything that I had, if I wanted him to represent me. After being denied by SocSec, I thought I wouldn't be able to get legal help. Matt said that my case sounded as if it was strong, but the people who read my case may not have gotten all of what I said, and he would take my case if I wanted him. From that point on, all I had to do was answer questions, and sign a few forms. Matt took care of everything else, sending me reminders of every deadline. That was much less stress. Whatever SocSec sent me, they sent Matt, When I wasn't sure about something, Matt explained it so that I could understand. Some of those questions were tough, but to Matt, they were no big deal; understanding that stuff is part of his daily routine. He “translated” anything that I didn’t understand from SocSec-speak into plain English. I didn’t miss any deadlines or any questions; Matt double-checked everything for me. I got a hearing scheduled, before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ). Matt explained what an ALJ is and that no one argues against your appeal for benefits: your medical records and your statements are the only things considered. At the appeal hearing, Matt handled everything for me that he could legally handle. I didn’t know if I’d say too much, or too little, or forget something, however, Matt was there, When it was time for me to “ask myself questions”, that is, have my attorney ask me questions, anything that I forgot, or anything that I should have added, he asked me questions so that I would remember those things. In the end, my appeal was accepted and I was granted SSI. With Matt's help, the ALJ was able to see me as an entire person, not just answers on a piece of paper. Matt helped me to stay calm, to answer everything that was asked, to present ME, not my information. Even with all of my education, even with all of my experience, I was never prepared to deal with SocSec, and I’m still not. I learned a few things from all of this, but not nearly as much as Matt knows. Without Matt’s help, I don’t believe that my appeals hearing would have gone in my favor. The law is a different world from science and education. Even with my all of my degrees in biology and teaching, I wasn’t prepared for the ordeal that Social Security can put you through. Matt is. He’s good at it. His knowledge, calm, and experience kept me from freaking out during the whole appeals process. He’s been there, before, for other people. He knows what he is doing. If anyone ever asks me about a disability case where they need an attorney, the only person that I would send them to is Matt Grundy.
