Shahzad Nasim Ghafoor

Shahzad is a founding partner of Ghafoor Cook Ellis, LLC. He has 20 years of experience as a practicing attorney. Prior to establishing Ghafoor Cook Ellis, LLC, Shahzad worked in the field of international tax, and M&A. He is licensed to practice in Kansas, and Missouri.

His practice focuses on advising clients in various aspects of immigration and U.S. tax law. In particular, his practice is focused on family immigration, removal proceedings, investment-based immigration, and business visas, including: H-1B and L-1 blanket visas. In addition, he assists clients with business and individual tax filings, wage garnishments, accounting and payroll services.

Mr. Ghafoor brings a personal perspective to his work because of his own immigration experience to the United States. As a result, he is deeply sensitive to his clients’ concerns and provides a clear vision at all stages of the process.

Mr. Ghafoor has participated in various non-profit and charitable organizations focused on international human rights, including opposition to violence against women, and childhood education in developing countries. In view of these organizations he chairs a foundation developed to support such programs in the U.S. and other nations.

Shahzad Ghafoor earned his J.D. and M.B.A. at the University of Missouri – Columbia.
