I hired Zimmermann as a defense attorney in my case . He made many promises that he never made good on once he was paid in full. I do not believe he actually had a clue as to what he was doing in the court room . As said in another review I truly believe he trades wins in his cases . He never returns... call or messages or will ever give truthful answers . He never once asked questions about my case , or tried to defend me what so ever . If you are looking for a good defense attorney keep looking , this is not your guy.

Absolutely awful attorney . Mr Zimmerman did nothing he said he would do , once he’s been paid he is pretty well done with you and your case . He will not return calls or messages or keep you updated on your case at all. Good luck if you hire this guy is all I can say , I would not hire him to clean ...the dog crap off my shoes .

I let Mr. Zimmerman take my custody case in the past. The Cape Girardeau County is known for its "wheel and deal" cases. By this I mean lawyers in this area like to negotiate the cases, like contracts, that have been already determined on which one will win before trial. Just like negotiating a trade..., I’ll give you this win if you give me the next one. This might be determined by how much money each sides representative has, or this might be determined by connections. Sometimes in rare cases its by evidence, mine and most cases will not be. Mr. Zimmerman uses pleas or begging approaches with the judge or attorneys to get someone out of a criminal charge, or a lesser sentence. Which has made his side for criminal defense strong but lacks major documentation when presenting in trials. Custody/Divorce/Family cases on the other hand he uses the "wheel and deal" approach and negotiates with the other attorney before you even go to court. By the time you enter court, the lawyers have already decided what your agreement is going to be and who folded. The judge in this case will file with what the two lawyers have agreed with. This is why you get sent out right before court so the lawyers and the judge can discuss that everyone has agreed on how the proceeding will go. I will not be using Mr. Zimmerman next time. Unless you are good friends with him or have connection, then you might have a better shot in the negotiating table of your case.

I had a new case to the court system so was going to be complicated case. I know most lawyers in town who do family law and i wanted someone out side the box to consult with. The best decision i ever made in my case was to call Mr Zimmermanns practice. My son is a uniformed deployed soldier and a si...ngle father his childs mother would only allow him to be home(lives in our home) on her terms while my son is deployed.We opted as a family to go to court under new laws for deployed soldiers and child visitation. Mr. Zimmermann researched the new laws BEFORE he even took the case at no charge to me.He was up front on what we were we up against with the new laws,but in the end Our grandson is continuing his weekly visitation in our/his home as per his fathers request to the court. Mr. Zimmermann kept up contact with me through the whole process,i did not feel like just another number/grandparent in the system that was taken advantage of financialy or otherwise.Anytime i sent an email it was promptly answered by him or his staff(amy).Mr. Zimmermann was very knowledgable about laws etc. I never felt like we were pushed to just go with what the other attorney wanted. In the end Mr. Zimmermann was the best decision our family made for family law and uniformed deployed soldiers child visitation act. I would recommend this office/Mr. Zimmermann for any case and would definately recommend Mr. Zimmermann to any family or soldier being deployed or deployed and your rights for continued visitation/family visitation are a concern. Mr. Zimmermann thank you from our family.
