Gary David Briggs

David Briggs is a lifelong resident of Northeast Missouri, having been born and raised in Memphis, Missouri. He received his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri in 1993.  He received J.D. from the University of Arkansas and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1997. 

In 1998 he began working as an associate at the Law Offices of Oswald Cottey, becoming a partner in January, 2002.   In 2006, he co-founded the Briggs & Reuschel Law Firm and the Briggs & McClamroch Law Firm in 2013.  His practice mainly concentrates in the area of civil litigation, corporations and business organizations, real estate and estate planning.  David has served as General Counsel for the 2nd Circuit Juvenile Office since December 2010.  Prior to that time, he and his firm represented parents in abuse and neglect  juvenile court cases in Adair and Knox Counties.

David is a member of the Adair County Bar Association (President 2000-2001), The Missouri Bar, the MU Alumni Association, Arkansas Alumni Association, Kirksville Leadership Institute, Kirksville Chamber of Commerce, Adair County Family YMCA, Kirksville Country Club, Salvation Army Advisory Board, Adair Lodge No. 366 AF & AM, Moila Shrine and the El Kadir Shrine Club. 

David is an avid sports fan and enjoys following Major Leage Baseball, college basketball, and NFL and college football.  In his spare time, David enjoys playing basketball and golf, snow skiing, bowling, wood working, and spending time traveling with wife, Dr. Tisha R. Kice-Briggs, a dentist, and their 3 year old twin boys
