Great Lawyer

He was very professional and had knowledgeable about my case and took care of me in a timely manner with little obligation on my part.

Excellent Advice and Service

Gary Heggs has been our attorney for many years. He assisted my father-in-law in arranging his affairs and later in settling his estate. He came to our assistance on a real estate matter, which was of some urgency, and came off a vacation day to advise us on how to proceed. He prepared our wills a...nd healthcare directives, and helped us navigate the confusing language on some of our investments. Gary has always provided excellent service and carefully considered and timely advice. I have recommended Gary to anyone who asks about who we use for legal services.

You cannot trust Gary Heggs to do the work you hire him to do!

Mr. Heggs agreed to take the signed Beneficiary Deed he drafted for my elderly mother to be recorded with the county. He also agreed to do title research for me concerning my mother's house. Unfortunately, he did not do either of these activities for me, and as a result, I incurred an additional $400...0 in attorney's fees (different attorney) and delays on the closing of my now deceased mother's house. He then had the gall to bill me for the services he did not provide. Throughout this process, I had to call him multiple times to confirm the receipt of documents and progress on the case (I do not live in Missouri). You cannot trust this attorney to do the work he was hired to do.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
