Biography
Alexa Hillery graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2014. She earned her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law with a concentration in International and Comparative Law in 2017.
Alexa is admitted to practice in Missouri, Illinois and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
She began her law career representing indigent defendants in the St. Louis City Trial Office of the Missouri State Public Defender. She practiced there for almost seven years before moving to Casey & Devoti. Alexa has extensive experience as a trial attorney, having acted as first chair in 17 jury trials.
Alexa is on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Bar, Chair of the Trial Section of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and is a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), the Women Lawyers Association of Greater St. Louis, the Lawyers Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Alexa received the Up & Coming Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly in 2025.
Originally from Alton, Illinois, Alexa now lives in St. Louis with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. When not at work, Alexa enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
