About Corey
Biography
I am an associate attorney with Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard, PC, in St. Louis. My practice focuses on the representation of healthcare providers in the defense of professional liability litigation. Some of my clients are comprised of community hospitals, physicians, physician groups, nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals in a wide variety of specialties.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in History and Government from the University of Virginia in 2003 and I received my Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 2007. While in law school, I was a Primary Editor on the Washington University School of Law's Global Studies Law Review.
Prior to joining Sandberg Phoenix, I defended healthcare providers in the Commonwealth of Virginia for over five years with a firm dedicated to health law. I also practiced litigation with a firm in Alexandria, Virginia and served as a law clerk to Judges at the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Hearings and Appeals in Washington, D.C.
Super Lawyers magazine selected me as a Rising Star in the area of Medical Malpractice Personal Injury Defense from 2015 - 2017 in Missouri & Kansas and from 2013 - 2014 in Virginia. (Only 2.5% of all lawyers are selected as Rising Stars).
