Robert Paul Taaffe

Mr. Taaffe was the attorney my family hired for me when I was in the St. Louis Justice Center for over 100 days when the public defender application did not go through after the second time. It was a domestic violence case and he was professional and helpful throughout the entire process. I eventuall...y accepted the plea deal instead of taking it to trial though Mr. Taaffe was fully prepared to tackle. It was my first offense, first time locked up, and it was a life changing experience that I will never forget, but Mr. Taaffe made it manageable and now I am walking down this probation.

I hired Robert Taaffe back in 2004 for several criminal cases I had pending, one of which was up for trial 2 weeks after I fired my current lawyer and hired Mr. Taaffe. He was absolutely pressed for time to enter as my attorney and prepare for the case. Mr. Taaffe worked dilegently to prepare for tri...al and I have to say he was absolutely on point. Unfortunately I took their plea because they hit me with the wopp law. I could take the plea and do a 120 days or I could possible be looking at 30 years. I have to honestly say that I had to think about it before I made my decision. I was that confident in his ability to win my case. But I couldn't take any chances with my parents standing there. I was in prison when my other case hit and I was in serious trouble, I was looking at life without parole, by the time I got out Mr Taaffee had worked a deal with the prosecutor and I got two 3 year sentences on the current case and was never charged in the one that was going to take my freedom for life. Due to illegal search and seizure I was never charged, he literally saved my life. He was very fair with his fees and worked with me on making payments. I know he is an awesome criminal trial lawyer and I refer him to anyone and everyone who I hear that needs a criminal attorney. I still talk to Mr. Taaffee today and he treats me as a friend. Which I think is great. He's not the type of attorney who thinks he is better or treats you like your stupid. He is open minded, down to earth, easy to talk to, straight forward, and honest. You can tell him anything and he will not pass judgement. He in my opinion is the best lawyer I know and trust me when I say, I know a lot. My family hired him while i was in jail. He got me out. Went to my first court date with me. He is sure my charges will be dropped. He's in office on Saturdays. Gave us his cell number and Very professional and easy to talk to. He even lets me make payments. Im more then satisfied with attorney Ta...ffee and glad my family chose him.
