Initial consult was promises of "researching" the matter and representing us. 5 months (thousands of dollars) later, after "researching" the easement, assured us we were asking for something reasonable and lawful that a judge would agree with. Drafted a letter to the wrong party after weeks of me h...aving to follow up and then drafted a letter to the correct party. After sending the letter, started communicating with us through US Mail! (No updates, impossible to actually get a clear response from). Opposing Attorney wrote response, clearly not looking to come to an agreement on any of the matters requested. Caitlyn, pushed for us to meet in person with opposing party which resulted in additional meetings and billable hours. Met with opposing party after meeting with Caitlyn (many billable hours) only to have no representation at the meeting and opposing lawyer telling us more about the easement than Caitlyn even seemed to know. When I attempted to discuss what her rendered services had accomplished, she got defensive and hung up on me. Basically, she had no clue what she was representing. Complete waste of time. No legal guidance whatsoever, in clarifying to us or clarifying for us so we could make sound legal decisions. Conversation would go, "We would like to put up a barn gate here", Caitlyn's response would be "Oh that would look nice". She'll tell you she is not a cheap date and she definitely is not, because she is a pointless date. If you're looking for someone to agree with you but not actually represent that to other parties, then she's your attorney but as a professional attorney she definitely has no knowledge, experience or bandwidth to handle what you need handled. Good luck with communicating with her. There will be no follow up on your case and you will constantly have to ask her what is going on, what is the next step. I did attempt to convey her lack of professionalism and incompetency to a senior partner ( Floyd T. Norrick) in the firm for some additional oversight but he was condescending and rude as well so seems as that is the tone at the group, arrogance. Save your money and go elsewhere. Find someone that knows that you pay their bills and treats you like a competent human being, actually knows the law and is willing to stand up for you because at the end of the day you are paying for representation.
