Representation at Unemployment Compensation Appeal Hearings is something I am well respected for by judges, referees and clients. These hearings which determine whether unemployment benefits are paid impact an employer's tax rate, an employee's ability to receive benefits and can be a resource of information for those pursuing or defending employment based claims. Referrals are accepted from other attorneys.

Bankruptcy and Debt 20%

I have been representing individuals and families since 1991 and am very good at determining whether a bankruptcy is the right course of action. Many times, as in the cases of student loans, there are viable alternatives, and I make sure the client has the best opportunity to succeed. I understand the Chapter 7 Means Test amd have been successful with filings of higher wage earners.

Estate Planning 20%

Estate planning is more than planning on how to distribute you assets when you pass. It involves making sure that minor children are planned if their parents pass, that individuals due to age or disability are cared of during their life, and family businesses or family farms can continue to operate when someone passes. Over 24 years I have learned how to “hear” what clients are saying and then help them put plans into place that take care of family needs, taxes, and the distribution of assets.

Very professional, gets results!

When I had a hearing for my unemployment, I was stressed out knowing my former employer would be attending the hearing. After reading great reviews about him, I contacted Mr. Carp and he took control of everything. He let me know what to expect. I felt very prepared going in and we ended up winning! ... Mr. Carp is professional, great with communication and I'm proud to call him my attorney.

Unemployment Claim

If I ever need an attorney in the future I will continue to go to and refer to Mr. Kenneth Carp. He did an outstanding job for me when my former employer of over 12 years denied my unemployment claim. Mr. Carp is very knowledgable and provided me with great support and representation.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
