Arrest or not the guilty plea goes on the juvenile record. Talk to a lawyer. There may be some sort of diversion program

I can't believe that the St. Clair County states attorney would file criminal charges over less than $5.00 but you never know. Consult a lawyer.

If you had insurance turn it over to them. They won't defend you on the ticket but they will pay a lawyer to defend you on the lawsuit.
