You can do that but it won’t help you but would help the prosecutor, who can correct the oversight until the trial has started

In Sangamon County you don’t have to “motion up” anything. The clerk will send you a notice of a new court date. Show up then.

In theory jail but unlikely. However if you are convicted you will have a criminal record.

It's not actually a hearing. You are going to a consultation with an informal hearing officer. For your situation a lawyer is probably not needed...

Yes. Your insurance refused to pay the other driver. Now you are sued. Turn it over to your agent. The insurance company will pay for your lawyer...

In theory you could. If this is your first offense and you have a clean record it’s not a sure thing that you will.
