Amazing Attorney: Professional, Fair, and Honest

Kathy was very professional, honest, and fair. She always told us the truth even when it wasn't what we wanted to hear and made sure to prepare us for what would be coming at us next. There was no BS, sugar coating, or wasting our time trying for results she knew we couldn't get. She only charg...ed us for the actual time she worked and didn't just round up to the nearest hour or half hour like most attorneys. She always answered our questions in a timely manner as well. We felt as if she actually had a vested interest in our case and making our lives better. We won our case and would recommend Kathy's services to anyone needing an attorney.

I Agree! TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT

She lies to her own clients to get billable hours and does not have their best interest in mind. She seems to know almost nothing about law. Extremely discourteous and toxic personality. She won't settle a case because she gets fewer fees that way. I know mere high school graduates who are more... logical than she is. Like the other reviewer, I have worked with many attorneys, not as a litigant, but as a professional person, and had a generally good impression about attorneys. Ms Baker-Bowen is just appalling and gives the legal profession a terrible name. I am still thinking of suing her for fraud. DESTRUCTIVE ATTORNEY! Do not hire her to represent you--you will be better off with no attorney at all. Things that should take two hours take two years with this attorney. The only slack I can cut her is that perhaps she has an untreated mental disorder. I do not mean that sarcastically. I mean that normal, well-adjusted people are afraid to be negligent and to knowingly commit fraud, and they also take some pride in their work product and reputation. Surely there are enough viable cases in Springfield without Ms Baker-Bowen having to scrape the bottom for fees? She is an actress playing the role of attorney.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
