I hired Mr. Rathbun to help with some post-dissolution issues and my experience was clearly defining of what a professional attorney should be! Mr. Rathbun was confident, extremely knowledgeable and perfectly timely in all aspects. He would contact me immediately to keep me apprised of things, and ...explained things very patiently and clearly. I would like to add that several friends had suggested him, in addition to another attorney to consider, before selecting a divorce attorney. Regrettably, I did not and I hired someone who was cheaper. For several reasons, you end up paying for what you get: I had an attorney that was cheaper, and therefore had many MORE cases piling up, leaving me frustrated and the process taking much longer than it ever should have. Things had to be refiled, strategies forgotten, inconsistencies occurred, urgent issues at hand came and went. These are some of the things that happen when you have a very busy and distracted attorney. When I finally decided enough was enough and called Mr. Rathbun, I was thrilled he was able to take me on as a client and it fit within his already caseload. His level of experience and skill shows, and I never felt I was a burden, or just another divorcing spouse, something else to consider when going through such a devastatingly emotional time!
