About Nancy E. Dryden

Nancy E. Dryden, Attorney At Law, is the sole practitioner, owner and founder of Dryden Law Office located in Newton, IL, Nancy has a broad and varied background of experience that makes her uniquely suited for handling the legal representation needs of her clients from all walks of life.  As a person with a disability (Nancy has been legally blind since the age of 24) she has successfully navigated the waters of business and the practice of law.  She also worked for about five years on a volunteer basis with persons with intellectual disabilities through a Christian mission church.

Prior to her practicing law, Nancy was a co-owner of a manufacturing business and managed over 100 employees.  After overseas outsourcing caused the closedown of the business, Nancy obtained her law degree through the University of Iowa, gaining valuable experience along the way working in the school’s legal clinic under the supervision of several noted law professors.  As a student lawyer, Nancy had the rare privilege of arguing before the Iowa Supreme Court.

Prior to founding Dryden Law Office, Nancy worked with a seasoned attorney who had a long-established practice handling estates, estate planning, bankruptcy, real estate, and various civil matters.  Nancy has since built up a thriving legal practice in South-eastern Illinois. She has focused her practice on estates (especially successfully handling cases of adult and minor guardianships).  She also has a substantial amount of experience in handling family law and Orders of Protection cases.  She handles related and unrelated adoptions and a segment of her practice is devoted to Bankruptcy Law.

Nancy is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Christian Legal Society and she is also an active member of her family church where she is currently serving on the Board of Missions.  Nancy’s compassion for the “poor, the halt and the lame” is only rivaled by her passion for justice and equal access to the law.
