Marilyn Baker Resch

I live in Casey, Illinois and have always been active in my community.  From 1976 until the early 1990's I was a member of the Casey Women's Civic League.   This organization was active in raising money for civic projects, such as scholarships for local students and Christmas shopping for children in need.   From 1979-1989 I was a member of the Casey-Westfield School District.  I was President of the School Board for the last 4 years.  During my tenure on the Board I handled on a regular basis the contract negotiations with the teachers' association.  In the late 1990's I was a member of the Board of Directors of the Coalition Against Domestic Violence.  The Coalition provided advocates for women going into court for Orders of Protection and a safe home for women and their children during periods of separation.  Since 2000 I have been a member of the Board of Directors of Heartland Manor Inc Nursing Center.  I have been President of that Board for the past 5 years.  We recently hired a new administrator and I was actively involved in the interviewing and decision making process.
