Jill Laux Schubert

I just wrapped up a rather complicated child custody/support case with Jill. She was fantastic throughout. She talked me down when I would get a little impulsive or nonsensical but, at the same time I knew that she wouldn’t let me get raked over the coals. I also felt comfortable that, whenever I nee...ded, she wouldn’t hesitate to put the gloves on and come out swinging! In the end, she always respected my opinion and made me very comfortable knowing that she worked for me and my thoughts and feelings were what mattered. She KNOWS family law! If I told her I wanted X, she was very quick and knowledgeable to tell me that the law says Y and, I think we could likely get Z. She, and her para are very friendly and are quick to answer emails or phone calls WITH answers! As far as pricing goes... For a metro east attorney, she has a very reasonable pricing structure. I would recommend her to anyone going through divorce or family law issues. I hope I never have to deal with this again but, if I do, there’s no doubt that I will hire Jill again in a heartbeat.

I found Mrs. Laux to be informative, accurate and helpful. My ex-wife's attorney was the county cougar who scared every other attorney (male or female). Jill barked back; she's a ball-buster. I didn't get most of what I wanted but she stopped my ex from running me into the ground. My only caut...ion is that as a client, you manage your emotions and it will reduce your billing. Also, as it might be common to get monthly updates of income, expenses, bills etc; be careful as it seems the only set of documents that are TRULY important are the last ones you submit. Personally, I felt like I was putting documents in a shredder as I kept sending them updates and I felt that the only thing that happend was me being billed for another hour. Again, I don't feel that my money was wasted or that I was gag-billed. Just wished i wouldn't have given them so much documentation every time it was requested. Finally, know what you want and stick to your guns. The game will change from the phone to the courtroom...be ready and be open-minded. Jill will keep you grounded.
