I represent people who have been harmed by dangerous exposures, and I do it on a national stage, trying cases in both state and federal courts across the country. For my clients, that reach matters. Wherever a reckless company put them in harm's way, I am prepared to follow the case and hold that company accountable.
I understand this work from the ground up. I spent much of my childhood on a cotton farm in Mississippi before my family moved to Memphis, Tennessee. After earning a degree in small business administration from The University of Alabama, I went to work for EnviroRem, Inc. as a licensed asbestos abatement supervisor, remediation instructor, air monitor, and microscopist. I oversaw large-scale environmental remediation projects from Kansas to Puerto Rico. Long before I ever stood in a courtroom, I knew exactly how asbestos moves through a building, how it gets into a person's lungs, and how easily companies cut corners with it.
That firsthand knowledge became a calling. Driven to protect ordinary people from careless corporations, I attended the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama, all while continuing to teach and consult for EnviroRem. I brought the science with me to the practice of law.
Today, I am proud to be a trusted advocate for people facing mesothelioma, lung cancer, and silicosis, as well as clients with a wide range of personal injury claims. I have recovered verdicts and settlements in excess of $50,000,000 for the people who put their trust in me. Behind every one of those numbers is a family I came to know and fight for.
When I am not in the fight for my clients, I restore older automobiles and work in carpentry, the kind of hands-on craft that has always suited me.

I have used Lawrence in several cases regarding contracts for construction and/or demolition of asbestos containing materials.
