Pathetic excuse for a lawyer

First attorney ever hired. I was a first time mother and dependent on this pos to help me, support me, guide me, represent me. Talking to her at the consultation she seemed like a bulldog. The best money could buy. Had a court date where me and the other party are on opposite sides being asked ques...tions and I completely made a fool of myself because I had no idea what to expect. She should have gone over the case with me. Say this, don't say this. Absolutely nothing. Even worse, she seemed to be completely shrinking in the chair next to me. Other party and judge tearing her apart while she says and does nothing. Like a coward. Please find any other counsel besides her. You will be disappointed, you'll spend too much money, you won't get what you want and she'll make you look like an absolute fool In court. She is an awful and disgusting human being. Beware

Professionalism at its best.

I have used Barb for two different matters now, and I would highly recommend her and her associates to anyone who is in need of legal assistance. Barb is nothing but upfront, honest and extremely professional. She does not waste any of your time and she sets realistic expectations for your case. Duri...ng my consultation she had created a very formidable plan and was ready to put into action with my approval. I never once felt like she would not fight for what was fair and just for me and my case. I’ve heard of many other lawyers doing the bare minimum and putting together generic decrees that do not protect their clients interests entirely, this is not the case with Barb. She makes sure all things are covered and that you, as the client, are taken care of.

Relocation / Appeal

I hired Barbara Sherer in the fall 2014 to handle my removal / relocation case. Not only did she take my case but she also tidied up loose ends from my divorce that did not get done from another firm. One of the qualities I respect most about Barb is she is tell you like it is kind of woman. There is... no false promises or guarantees. She is firm she gave me the best advice on how to handle my case with my children and also made it crystal clear what not to do. She is very detailed and has a staff that supports her that is exceptional as well. Due to my divorce with another lawyer I had been in the court room a few times already. When you see Barbara in court it is hard not to have your mouth drop open. Her presence and due diligence is impeccable. I also feel it is important to add she is an amazing dresser and when she is before a Judge it is really hard not to smile because she is that good in everything she prepares for. She is not a lawyer to waste your time or the courts with long speeches she makes her point clearly and is beyond impressive with your case. Barbara takes your win as her own she will fight for you tooth and nail but you have to take her advice and do what she asks of you. She is always thinking 5 steps ahead of what can or can not happen. Barbara won my relocation case in the District level which allowed me to move to be with my husband out of state and take my children with me. We had many obstacles and it did take a few years but she never waivered she continued to see the bigger picture and guided me the whole way. We had a grueling 3 day trial and in conclusion she cried with me when we won. Once that process was over and I moved out of state my ex husband filed an appeal with the Appealate court. I was pretty devestated and worried our verdict could be over turned. Again I hired Barbara to fight for me in the appeal she made no promises, besides we do have a strong case and I will do my very best. I felt very confident with her also knowing it was not her first time in the appealate courts. She knew how to do what needed to be done and kept track of all the dead lines and I was apprised continously of how things were going. After about 5 months the verdict came in our case it was affirmed we won again. Barbara is just so meticulous with details and research. Her staff is very timely in getting back to you with phone calls or emails you will never sit around wondering did they forget about me or what is going on with my case. That is a huge piece of mind when you are trying to go on with your life and not stress over everything that could be missed. I highly recommend Barbara Sherer.
