I thought a lawyer was supposed to have your best interests in mind, but apparently not the case. I was made to pay my bill every month, even though she assured me that if my ex was ordered to pay my lawyers fees, that he would be sent the entire bill and I would be reimbursed. HA! I questioned her... about this several times and was assured each time that I would be reimbursed for the entire amount I had paid. Well, he was ordered to pay my attorney fees, and the amount she gave his attorney was the amount I owed at that moment, which was around 29.00 for that month- a far cry from the 3100.00 that I had already paid. When I went back to her and questioned this, she said that I could pay a retainer and hire her to take him back to court and that MAYBE she would be able to make him pay the other amount. My advice? If you opt to hire her, don't take her word for ANYTHING, get every word in writing.
