Biography
Attorney Richard Stites' journey in law began at the University of Illinois, where he obtained a bachelor's degree, cum laude, with double majors in economics and finance, plus a minor in psychology. In addition to being engaged in the James Scholar program, he held memberships in several honorary societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, and received top departmental honors in Finance. At Indiana University School of Law, Richard graduated magna cum laude, served as Administrative Editor on the Indiana Law Journal Board, and was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif.
Richard launched his legal career at Livingston, Barger, Brandt, Slater & Schroeder, achieving partnership status in 1985 and guiding the firm as Managing Partner through significant growth. Noteworthy contributions include leading defense counsel efforts for national events and provding the legal framework for an Illinois state public agency. Richard's substantial legal experience includes over 800 cases with complex legal issues and courtroom experience. Eventually, founding his own practice, Legal Resources PLLC, he has focused extensively on civil defense litigation, business planning, and insurance matters demonstrating an ongoing commitment to excellence in legal practice and client representation.
