Steven Lee Wiggins

I hired Mr. Wiggins to represent my wife, and made the mistake of paying him up front. My wife felt that he was unconcerned about her and would not address her concerns. Her uneasiness with him so distressed her that she hired someone else. I called and asked for my money back or at least a porti...on thereof, which he refused. I couldn't get my money back, but at least I could warn others of his shady practices, which I did via an online review. Today my wife (without my knowledge) texted Mr. Wiggins to ask for a return of at least a portion of my $1000. He replied that he wouldn't give it back because I had written a bad review of him. The fact is that the review was written following his refusal to return any of my money. I immediately called him to remind him of the facts of the matter which he apparently has conveniently forgotten. His reply was, "Are you drunk?" I don't drink Mr. Wiggins, and you sir, don't tell the truth.

I retained Mr. Wiggins to represent my wife. I paid him in advance. She decided after speaking with him on several occasions that he 1) had little regard for her concerns, 2) did not want to answer her questions, 3) did not display a sincere interest in her case. As a result she retained another att...orney. I called him to ask for at least a partial refund, since he did not finish the job for which he was retained. He refused to return any of the money I paid him. I understand that he is due some compensation for the little time he spent, and I was willing to pay him a reasonable amount of money for his time. In the interest of fair play, I expected him to take the honorable approach, but I was sadly mistaken. It would seem that money drives his decision making in this case, not fairness or integrity. I would definitely NOT recommend him for those reasons.
