The first divorce I handled was my own. I personally understand the emotional turmoil associated with a family law case. By making the process as easy as possible reduces my clients' level of stress and anxiety.
CURRICULUM VITAE
2000-2005. While attending Southern Illinois University School of Law, I worked for two local law firms and conducted mediations for the SIU Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic. I began my legal career in Ogle County working for a former Ogle County State's attorney in a general practice firm. Although involved in many different types of law, the majority of my practice was family law.
2005-2007. I created the civil practice for a high volume criminal firm in Rockford. I saw the need for the firm to assist criminal clients with Orders of Protection as well as their divorce, paternity, and custody cases. Many clients needed their child support reduced. Some clients needed to execute a power of attorney or a will while their criminal cases were pending. This role gave me invaluable insight in the attorney-client relationship and the value of meeting clients' needs.
LAW OFFICE OF ANGELA LUND-LOGAN
I opened my own law firm to focus on the needs of clients. Because a family law case strains an individual both mentally and monetarily, every clients needs to have effect representation at a reasonable rate.
GOAL: resolved every case as cost-effective and quickly as possible while pursuing the client's objectives
UNDERSTANDNG THE CASE. Explaining each state, each document, and each court appearance, I take the confusion out of a family law case. When a client understands what is being said in court and in the pleadings, clients are able to actively participate in the case. The process shouldn't be a mystery. With me as your attorney, you will understand the process, the paperwork, and the court proceedings.
LIMITED PRACTICE OF ATTORNEY ANGELA LUND-LOGAN
FAMILY LAW. I limit my practice to family law cases. There are many attorneys who practice family law but few practice only family law. If you have a family law case, you need an attorney, such as myself, who solely practices family law. Limiting my practice allows me to be familiar with the vast nuances of each accept involved in the practice of family law: custody, visitation, child support, maintenance, retirement accounts, real property, personal property, debt allocation, college expenses, etc.
JUDGES. Knowing the judge is key to representing clients effectively. If you do
not regularly appear before a judge it is difficult to advise clients about that
judge. Learning the idiosyncrasies of a judge is just as important as knowing
how that judge interprets the law. To be cognizant of the family law judges I limits my practice to Boone and Winnebago counties.
COUNTIES. Every county is part of a Judicial Circuit. Each circuit has its own
local court rules that apply only to the counties in the circuit. In addition to the
Illinois Supreme Court Rules and the statutes, attorneys must know the local
court rules. These rules vary widely between circuits. The 17th Judicial Circuit
does not have any rules about contempt petitions whereas the 15th Judicial
Circuit has extensive rules. Failure to know the local court rules can have
expensive consequences for clients. I limit my family law practice to the two counties of the 17th Judicial Circuit: Boone and Winnebago.

Too busy to care
This lawyer is TOO busy to be a lawyer who cares. With her band, jewerly she has not done a thing for my case in over 2 months Even after about ten emails several phone calls and a certifyed letter sent. I have never gotten a bill in almost two years.
I am perplexed by Mr. Wine's review. I do not know the exact date this review was posted as "almost two years ago" is all that is given. Two years ago from today is 12/26/11. Subsequent to this review, Mr. Wine asked me to continue handling his case and even apologized for his behavior. It was much, much later that I saw this scathing review. I feel I must address the inaccuracies and missing details from this review. The only reason I was still representing Mr. Wine at the time of this review was due to his refusal to allow the Judgment (order granting the divorce) to be signed by the Judge. The divorce hearing had occurred on June 7, 2011 and all of the issues resolved except for entry of the Judgment. Mr. Wine had received a bill prior to this review. I do not know why he would complain about not getting a bill as he wasn't making payments towards my services. Due to very unusual circumstances, my services were to be paid from the cash Mr. Wine was to receive as part of the divorce.
