Mr. Teeters sold himself as experienced, effective, and willing to be aggressive if needed. He then proceeded lose on most, if not every matter I hoped to address that he agreed were fair and reasonable, but would only respond with being disappointed in the other attorney(s). He was made aware of exa...mples of contempt and ethical violations being demonstrated by the opposing party but determined they were not worth addressing with the judge, and this directly contributing to my loss of all decision making rights by demonstrating that my ex could ignore previous orders without accountability. He informed me that fair changes would be made on how specific matters would be handled, however review of the final decree after the fact showed that these agreements were removed or altered without my consent or knowledge, directly leading to increased financial consequences. He was made aware of efforts to coordinate a smooth transition of insurance coverage for my kids, but "forgot about it," also citing personal matters as a distraction, directly cause me to have to continue reimbursing my ex hundreds a month for coverage that no longer existed but remained in the order due to his lack of attention to the case and delayed motions to change the related orders. It has recently been evidenced by our state that child support was miscalculated to the benefit of the other party, which as been another direct financial consequence of documentation not being reviewed properly.

Attorney Teeter presents himself as a "kind hearted" attorney. However, once contracted as a client, I began feeling treated like a paralegal. I was doing multiple errands, compiling case deciding documents, and even negotiated my case settlement meetings. Jim would "snap" and yell at me often and un...expectedly when I assumed he was stressed or aggravated with the case. I observed him once "shaking" as we stood before the judge as the opposing attorney was attacking his legal professionalism. He made sure to consistently send me legal bills, but who wouldn't. However, in my case, I feel he did not deserve his pay.

Jim was a godsend in the worst time for me. My first question out of anger was can you be mean? His response was so honest when he said I prefer to be efficient and effective and at that moment I didn't want to hear that but he was exactly what I needed. He is a kill them with kindness and stack full... of motions kind of attorney. For my case it was a perfect strategy because he saw immediately that was what was needed. He is kind, compassionate, and fair with his fees. His paralegal is amazing as well. I was a high strung emotional mess getting a divorce after 21 years and Jim made the process as painless as he could have given the circumstances. He is knowledgeable but will admit if he needs to research and does it thoroughly. He protected me in every way he could find. I can't recommend him highly enough. I have seen friends through divorces and by far mine was handled with the most integrity and as he said in that 1st meeting efficiently and effectively.
