An attorney who will listen and provide excellent guidance

Patti provided legal guidance in the wrongful death of my sister in a auto accident. Patti’s contributions included: Helping us understand how the civil litigation process would work, where we had no prior experience. A willingness to listen to, and understand our priorities and principles we wa...nted to operate by, and how to incorporate them into the approach taken to the litigation. A willingness to engage in discussions of alternative options at each decision-making step, and weigh the pros and cons of each. Being frank and honest with us about the probability of success for options we considered. Being proactive in communicating the status and next steps on a regular basis, so we never felt like we were being treated as a low priority, even though this was not a situation that had the potential to reap large financial rewards.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
