The Most unprofessional self centered lawyer!!!!

I hired attorney James Moore back in 2016. He is one of the worst humans to interact with, he treats his employees and everyone he comes in contact with disrespectfully. I was set for a formal hearing in May 2017 but had to cancel cause of my legal troubles, so he said we can still can pursue getting... my driver license but it'll be another fee, so I was released from Idoc in July 2020, and paid the fee he asked for, he set another formal hearing in October 2020, and sent me to have a evaluation for additional payment. So this is my first meeting after my evaluation, I had to reschedule for a earlier time in the day, cause when setting this date he rushed his secretary and she wrote the wrong date for me, so when they notified me the day before, I said I have to come in earlier, cause I never schedule afternoons on my fiancé workdays. He makes his employees so scared they're nervous around him he talks to them with disrespect in front of clients so disrespectful to these women. So I show up for my meeting he asks why did I reschedule I told him why, then he asks personal questions about my family I dont need to answer, he gets offended when I intend to stay on subject of why I'm here. He gets hysterical curses at me, a client who has paid in full $3000 to be exact and when he realizes I won't tolerate his level of disrespect like his employees does, he gets very emotional. He says when I mention this and that in your formal hearing you won't get your license back. Then he says I quit I dont want to see you in my office again. After I paid him $3000 he gave me $500 check. His services aren't not worth it he's totally disrespectful. This is a unprofessional disrespectful individual.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
