Do not hire

I would strongly advise anyone considering this firm to look elsewhere. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. I felt very reassured during my initial consultation, but once I became a client, that level of attention disappeared. I was essentially handed off to the parale...gal, who frequently could not answer my questions, and I often had to figure things out for myself. I repeatedly felt like I was chasing the office for information I should have been receiving from my own legal team. What was especially frustrating was being advised by my attorney to ask my own ex-husband for what I wanted in the divorce rather than feeling like my attorney was taking an active role in advocating for my interests. I hired an attorney because I needed legal guidance and representation—not to negotiate with my ex on my own. There was also an incident involving a court appearance where I was made to believe, the day before, that I needed to be present. This caused unnecessary stress and anxiety, only for me to find out that my presence was not actually necessary. For someone already going through the stress of a divorce, that kind of last-minute communication is extremely upsetting. I ultimately settled my case because I was completely exhausted with dealing with this law office, not because I felt confident or well represented. I felt that I had to educate myself, find answers myself, and figure out too much of the process on my own. The billing experience was also unacceptable. I caught a double charge myself, and I was left questioning other fees as well, including fees I paid during a period when the attorney was on vacation. I went into this having never needed an attorney before, and I expected to have someone knowledgeable guiding me through the process and advocating for me. Instead, I frequently felt like I was on my own. I regret hiring this firm. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this law office to anyone looking for strong advocacy, clear communication, or dependable guidance during a divorce.

Worst attorney in the area

Allison is both arrogant and uninformed as to how to practice law. This combination makes it likely that any client of hers will not be represented in a manner that helps them. My ex wife hired Allison to represent her in our divorce proceedings. At no point did Allison read the settlement proposal...s we sent over. Her legal advice cost my ex wife almost $125,000 plus whatever fees she charged her. All this to say she withdrew as her lawyer when she realized how poorly she was doing. Don’t waste your money here, there are so many reputable attorneys in the area that will do the job with some integrity, something Allison lacks.
