Unprofessional

I am the executor of my uncle's estate. He died January 28,2012. Years before his death he had hired Mr Weissmiller for legal writing of his will. After his death i was in his office for the reading of the will. At that time I had a close neighbor of my uncle who had reached out to me and said th...ey were interested in buying his home and car. The estate did need to go into probate. Mr Weismiller knew of this in January and he never filed the paperwork with the courts until May 2013. He also failed to do the closing of the real estate and car in a timely fashion. Every time I contacted his office his admin would stay he is doing taxes with a client or said he was not present and she assured me she would give him the message. I would like it known at this time this is the same message I would hear every time I called the office. So frustrating. Fearful that I might loose the seller I finally was able to speak with him two days prior to my arrival in Mt Carroll Illinois and said this has to close this week. The sellers and I met in his office and did the finalizing of the selling the house and car. After that transaction he then filed the probate with the courts on May 14,2013. Since May 12,2013 through April 17,2015 Mr Weissmiller would stand in front of the Judge and state that and ask for another progress call in 3 months. I was not aware of this until Fall of 2014 when I called the court house and asked to speak with this judge. I was told by the county clerk that was not possible. She then told me to check court cases on Carroll County Court page and that is when I could see he had continually postponed the closing without ever notifying me . He continued to annoy all my phone calls. I finally contacted another lawyer in the Mt Carroll. I explained my issue and he advised me to write a letter and give him a date to finish this estate and he said he would probably do so. I sent it by registered mail and he never responded. I then contacted Jerry and hired him to finish the estate. Mr Weissmiller had never sent to me the legal documents that were required .... these being the Executors Final Account and Report and the Inventory of Assets. Within a few weeks I had everything sent to my new lawyer and he filed the Notice of Hearing Executor's Final Account and Report of Inventory on May 8,2015 The next progress call Mr. Weissmiller had set was June 2,2015 . This is the day my new lawyer presented the final order filed and my uncles estate was finally closed legally through the court system at Carroll County Illinois. I feel that Mr Weissmiller had no intentions to finish this case due to censures and grievances he has had been given through the Illinois Bar Associations. I would like it known that he should not be practicing law a. Maybe he cannot and that is why he's suddenly spending so much time doing farmers and citizens of the community tax returns. There is not way it should of taken 3 years and 6 months to close this estate. If he is not able to practice law, then he should of be upfront with me and for that matter all his clients
