Scott Alan Blumenshine

Scott Blumenshine is a Chicago personal injury and insurance claims attorney who has represented injured people and policyholders since 1987. He handles serious injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle collision, premises liability, and insurance dispute cases.

Throughout his career, Scott has helped clients pursue millions of dollars in compensation through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and trial. He understands that an injury or denied insurance claim can create enormous financial and emotional strain. His approach combines determined advocacy with personal attention, clear communication, and practical guidance at every stage of the case.

Scott’s work extends beyond representing individual clients. He has drafted amendments to the Illinois Insurance Code designed to strengthen protections for insurance consumers, written for legal publications, and presented at continuing legal education programs on insurance law, bad-faith claims, and uninsured and underinsured motorist arbitration. He has also served in leadership roles within the Illinois State Bar Association’s Insurance Law Section Council.

Scott earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his B.S. from the University of Iowa. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
