OUTCOME: Not Guilty

A Chicago police officer claimed our client did not have his seat belt on and pulled him over. During the stop, the officer then reached into the car and grabbed a baby bottle from behind the driver’s ... seat. The bottle was full of purple liquid codeine and our client was arrested. At trial, I obtained vehicle records from Indiana proving that our client was just borrowing the car and had not seen the bottle. That was the key to the case. The judge found him NOT GUILTY.

Our client was outside talking to some friends when Chicago Police officers came up to his car and started opening up his gas tank lid. They claimed to have found drugs and then searched the trunk whe ... re they found a gun which belonged to our client’s brother. At a motion to suppress, I proved to the judge that the police had no right to search our client’s car. The case was DISMISSED.

OUTCOME: Dismissed

Chicago Police Officers came up to Mr. Roland who was a passenger in a SUV stopped behind his home in the alley. The officers claimed that the SUV was illegally parked and they pulled the drive, passe ... nger and Mr. Roland out of the vehicle, searched them, and then searched the vehicle. They found a gun inside of the SUV and put it on Mr. Roland. At a motion to suppress, Attorney Levinsohn proved to the judge that the officers did not have probable cause to search the car or its occupants. The motion was granted and the case was dismissed.

Chicago Police arrested our client at her ex-boyfriend’s house on Avenue J. She went there to retrieve some of her belongings and when he did not give them to her she confronted him. Her ex did not w ... ant to hear it so he dragged her down the front stairs and repeatedly punched her. She scratched and bit him. When the police arrived, the ex-boyfriend lied to the police by telling them that she started the fight. At trial, Attorney Levinsohn presented the court with pictures of our client’s extensive injuries and proved that it was the ex-boyfriend that started the fight.

Chicago Police Officers were in the area of 9505 S. Princeton and claimed that they saw a person come up to our client, who was a passenger in a car. Officer Jose Lopez testified that he saw an unknow ... n person give money to our client for an unknown object. Our client then drove a way. Officer Lopez and Morsi then pulled him over, searched him and found cannabis. At a motion to suppress, Attorney Levinsohn proved that the officers had no probable cause to stop our client or search him.
