Biography
My legal career started as a paralegal with a tenants' rights group. The organization provided legal services (including representation) to tenants facing eviction. Many of the people were victims of crimes, work injuries, or unfortunate circumstances. I watched how many of these people tried to take on the system themselves and lose. I wanted to help even the playing field.
Since then I have helped people navigate the unforgiving legal system. I worked with the Cook County Public Defender representing defendants in misdemeanor cases. Each case I took to trial, I obtained not guilty verdicts for my clients. By making use of my research and investigation skills, countless other cases were dismissed or the prosecutor decided not to pursue the charges.
I also worked with a personal injury firm representing people injured by the negligence of others. I worked on cases ranging from simple rear-end car crashes to more complicated products liability cases.
