Latiera Scott-Johnson

Latiera Scott-Johnson is a personal injury and civil rights attorney representing individuals and families across Illinois in high-stakes cases involving serious injury and excessive force. Her work focuses on matters where the harm is significant and the outcome truly matters.

As a co-founder of a Black woman and family-owned law firm serving clients in Chicago and Milwaukee, Latiera leads the firm’s civil practice in Chicago. She represents clients in serious and catastrophic personal injury cases, including car and trucking accidents, Uber and Lyft (rideshare) collisions, pedestrian and bicycle injuries, negligent security, civil cases arising from sexual assault, and premises liability claims such as slip and fall accidents.

Latiera is intentional about the cases she takes, focusing on those where the impact is lasting and the recovery must reflect the full scope of what was lost. Her approach is strategic and proactive, building strong cases early, controlling the narrative, and positioning each matter for maximum recovery.
