The focus of my practice is on Illinois mechanics liens. In most cases, my client is a contractor, sub, or supplier who has not been paid. We examine the reasons for nonpayment and prepare a strategy for achieving payment. Because the Illinois mechanics lien statute is so powerful, we usually find that it is one of the tools needed.

I have assisted many contractors with drafting contracts, either as part of negotiations for a particular case, or in preparing a form contract that meets the contractors needs, while complying with state law for disclosures.

I provide my contractor clients with general advice on business operations

Occasionally, I handle corporate collections matters that do not directly involve construction.
