Metin Serbest

Metin Serbest is the founder and principal attorney at Law Offices of Metin Serbest, LLC based in Chicago, Illinois and recently expanded to Miami, Florida.  He is licensed by the Supreme Court of the State of New York and the United States District Court Northern District of Illinois.  His legal education began in Istanbul, Turkey at the University of Istanbul School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1999.  Attorney Serbest later enhanced his legal education with a Master of Laws degree (L.LM) from Northwestern University, one of the most prestigious law schools in the United States, in 2005.

Attorney Serbest specializes in immigration law, international protection of human rights, and foreign investment.  Mr. Serbest is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  He has an exceptional understanding and knowledge of immigration law practices such as asylum cases, visas, family & employment based immigration, and legal issues related to deportation & detention.  Mr. Serbest has proven to be especially successful in asylum cases, in which he has represented hundreds of immigrants from countries around the globe including Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Egypt, India, The Philippines, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and former USSR countries such as Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.  Additionally, Mr. Serbest has extensive knowledge in foreign business investments and disputes related to international business transactions.
