Well, H1B visas cost a lot of money. Since the employer does not have any work location or pay structure, I do not understand how it was approved...

Your H1B is tied to your present employer only. Since you already submitted all paper work, you should wait for a work permit to arrive to you....

If you have a visa that is available to you right now, do not make any change. It would make sense to make a change if you knew that getting a visa...

To remove a condition, you are better off filing tax as "married filing jointly."
