Gary W. Adair

Mr. Adair has not fulfilled my expectations. My son had been referred to Juvenile Court for shoplifting and marijuana possession. Mr. Adair told us that Juvenile Court was somewhat different than regular; he mentioned a possible diversion but failed to explain what exactly that would mean. I asked... this lawyer of any advice but got none. I asked Mr. Adair to call my son and talk about what he was supposed to do, in return he called my son and talked for three minutes saying that he (the lawyer) would be talking at the court and my son should just stay calm. At the Court building Mr. Adair was 15 minutes late. We were scared and very nervous but hoped that our lawyer knew what to do. We were called to the small office of a probation officer who talked to my son and me for about 20 minutes. First she said in very low and indistinct voice something about shoplifting charges and asked my son directly if that was true? My son replied ‘Yes’. Then she asked more questions and explained the probation procedures. Our lawyer was staying by the wall and did not talk at all. I expected to be more informed about procedures at the Juvenile Court and be better prepared to the questions of a probation officer. Mr. Adair looked as much unprepared as we were. I cannot recommend such a lawyer to anybody.
