Amanda Vesely

Attorney Amanda Vesely is an accomplished associate attorney specializing in criminal defense and family law. Her dedication to the field began early in law school, where she gained invaluable experience working at Prusak & Harkins, LLC, and developed a strong foundation in both legal research and case strategy. Under the mentorship of the founding partners, Ms. Vesely honed her skills and deepened her understanding of complex litigation and client advocacy. This early exposure laid the groundwork for her professional career, and after passing the bar, she proudly joined the firm as a full-time attorney, bringing a blend of tenacity and compassion to the practice.

In her practice, Ms. Vesely provides dedicated representation across Chicago and all surrounding counties. Her commitment to leadership and service was recognized with UIC Law’s prestigious Emerging Leader Award and the Chancellor’s Student Service Award in 2022, an honor that reflects both her impact on campus and dedication to making a difference in the legal field.

Before pursuing law, Ms. Vesely worked as a case manager in a substance abuse treatment center, where she saw firsthand the impact of the criminal justice system on individuals and families. This experience sparked her passion for advocacy and inspired her to become an attorney, with a goal of helping people navigate their legal challenges with dignity and support. Her background in social services gives her a unique perspective on cases, allowing her to approach each client’s situation with empathy and a deeper understanding of the challenges they face.
